Resistance Band INSTRUCTOR?

The two titles are often used interchangeably, however a Resistance Band "Coach” is usually referring to a Fitness Professional who takes personal training clients and Resistance Band “Instructor” is usually referring to a Fitness Professional who takes “classes”

HOW DO YOU COMPLETE A Resistance Band COURSE ONLINE?

After you sign up for the Resistance Band course, you will receive your login information. You can then proceed through the course at your own speed, viewing the videos and studying the materials. The course includes both a written and practical exam. After you complete the assessment, our team will take 3 business days to evaluate your answers. If you pass, you will receive a certificate of completion along with your CPDs. If you do not pass, you can retake the assessment at no additional cost.

A Fitness Professional should complete a Resistance Band CPD Course if they plan to do the following

Resistance Band Training isn’t covered in depth during your initial Personal Training Certification and therefore chances are you haven’t been trained in how to use Resistance Band. This can result in the exercises not being performed properly which leads to less benefit and increased chance of injury.

Completing a Certification ensures that you can both perform the exercises correctly yourself AND coach your clients how to perform the exercises correctly.

WHAT CONCEPTS ARE TAUGHT IN A Resistance Band CERTIFICATION COURSE

Our Resistance Band Certification Courses are broken down into three main components

Component 1: The Science and Safety

Before we teach any exercises / workouts we want to make sure our students understand the science and the safety behind Resistance Band training – what are the benefits? What are the risks? Who should be doing Resistance Band? Who shouldn’t be doing Resistance Band? Etc etc

Component 2: The Exercises

Once the student understands the science and safety behind Resistance Band training we then teach all the common Resistance Band exercises. We want to make sure

  1. The student can complete the Resistance Band exercises themselves safely and with appropriate technique

  2. The student can coach a client to complete the exercises safely and with appropriate technique

Component 3: Programming

Knowing all the different Resistance Band exercises is great but it doesn’t mean much if you can’t program them. So the next thing we cover is programming. We want to make sure

  1. The student can program a safe, fun and effective workout for a coaching client

  2. The student can program a safe, fun and effective workout for a Group Fitness class.

Level 1
